With 2012 predicted to be a challenging year, we could again see used trucks playing a very significant role. Indeed, Jungheinrich is planning a number of used equipment fairs this year, capitalising on its investment some years ago in a refurbishment facility in Dresden, Germany. Used trucks have two distinct advantages, they are cheaper than new, although the differential here is worth watching as it varies considerably. A used truck may also be appropriate for a light use environment where a new truck would arguably be under-utilised.
