The buildings are low maintenance; whole-life costs are low, and carbon emissions are said to be negligible, complying with the Government's Energy Efficiency Best Practice programme.
A steel framework offers clear uninterrupted internal spans of between 12m and 100m, over which a flame retardant PVC coated polyester membrane is tensioned to give a smart, fully weatherproof finish.
Membranes are available in a range of standard colours; white is recommended for the roof, as natural daylight passing through the translucent material reduces energy requirements.
