Space increased and safety improved

A CopriSystems canopy has increased space and improved operational safety at the automotive manufacturing site of Honeywell in Cheadle.

Honeywell produces turbochargers for car and truck manufacturers, receiving parts for assembly, which are then despatched to customers. Working on a small site operational space was an issue, so Honeywell contacted CopriSystems to provide a solution.

CopriSystems installed a monopitch side wall mounted canopy on to the side of the warehouse. This provides a dry loading/ unloading areas and temporary store. Previously goods were unloaded and loaded outside, but wet weather caused problems.

‘With the canopy in place there are fewer quality issues and we are now operating in a safer way. We chose CopiSystems because it had the best combination of solutions and price,’ said Nicolas Thomas, supply chain manager.
