Racking system with three pallets per bay

Distributor of security products, Wolf Omega, turned to Trent Design when it required a pallet racking system for its main warehouse in Nottingham.

Up to 200 containers a day arrive at the warehouse.

Products are unloaded on to pallets and put away until required. With such a busy operation, space utilisation was critical.

David Camm, managing director of Trent Design, encouraged Wolf Omega to invest in a narrow aisle racking system, with the innovation of having three pallets per bay compared with the more usual two.

A total of 4872 pallets are now stored throughout the whole system. These are accessed by new narrow aisle Flexi trucks, which have replaced wide aisle trucks.
