A made-to-measure racking and shelving solution from Hi-Store has proved to be so beneficial for one of its customers that it has been reinstalled and expanded in the business’s new premises.

Birmingham-based refrigeration specialist Carter Retail Equipment (CRE) installed Hi-Store’s Canti- Lock industrial cantilever racking and shelving system about 10 years ago. The company recently relocated to a purpose-built 140,000ft2 facility.

Hi-Store has doubled the size of the racking and shelving facility moved to the new premises by supplying more than Ł100,000 of the same Canti- Lock system, some of it up to 8m high.

CRE offers a complete turn-key operation and needs the racking system to store many different types of equipment. Adjustable arms on the shelving means it can be adapted to hold any sized product as the needs of the company change.

The flexible nature of the Hi-Store racking means that Carter is able to keep stock items thus offering an efficient service to its customers.
