Cost saving new sealing solution

Adhesives technology specialist, National Adhesives has launched Easy-Pac, a package sealing solution.

The char-free adhesive has a melt temperature of only 90-100°C, the lowest on the market, so charred adhesive never has a chance to form.

As a result there is no clogging of filters, hoses and nozzles – thus a major cause of production line disruption is eliminated.

To ensure customers gain the maximum benefit from this new technology, Easy- Pac package sealing solution also includes a new hot melt dispensing unit for each packaging line. The unit also comes complete with an Autofil integrated automatic vacuum fed system, providing a safer closed system and ensuring a constant level of hot melt in the dispensing tank.

Thanks to the high level of heat stability of the adhesive, the equipment comes with a 3 year warranty and National Adhesives also guarantees no replacement spare parts costs for 3 years – an industry first.

Typically, hot melt case and carton sealing is achieved using hot melt adhesives that melt at 170- 180°C causing adhesive charring. As a result nozzles and hoses need frequent cleaning and replacing which costs time and money.

With Easy-Pac, the need for parts replacement and maintenance virtually disappears and downtime is all but eliminated. The lower melting temperature also saves on energy costs.
