Stress-free plastic bulk tank October 1st 2005 Aviation services provider, Servisair/GlobeGround is to begin using an Allibert Helix plastic bulk tank at Manchester Airport, as part of a supply contract with Brotherton Speciality Products.
The new Allibert Helix 55m3 tank will be used to store ‘Ecowing 26’, a fluid used to de-ice aircraft before take-off. Although largely inert, the product falls under stringent regulations requiring it to be safely stored and bunded to 110%.
The UV-stabilised high density polyethylene tank was produced using the Allibert Helix winding process, which creates a stress-free tank with no seams, designed for a claimed working life of at least 20 years. More articles from Allibert Helix: |
