Boots other IBCs into touch? April 1st 2005 Boots has moved over to the ArcaCOMBO reusable plastic IBC from Schoeller Arca Systems.
The ArcaCOMBO has a disposable liner bag, which is placed inside the box and filled with liquid, making it extremely hygienic, and Schoeller says Boots chose the container to significantly reduce labour and service costs, compared with traditional IBC boxes or steel framed bag-in boxalternatives.
According to the company, another attractive feature was the robust and shock resistant design of the containers.
To reduce operating costs, Boots bought its own fleet of boxes. Any peaks in demand are met by renting the products, at very competitive rates, says Schoeller, from one of its pooling partners, Arlington Packaging. The lightweight boxes, weighing less than 90kg, fold to a third of their size when empty. More articles from Arca Systems Limited: |
