Hot new warehouses
February 1st 2007 Quinn Radiators, a leading producer of radiators in Europe, has commissioned logistics company Swisslog to design and implement an automated high bay warehouse at its new production site in Newport, South Wales. Quinn is creating what, it says, will be the most modern and efficient production facility worldwide. Swisslog was chosen because "we sought a partner to provide a turnkey package of an automated high bay warehouse together with fully integrated, automatic order picking equipment", says Ciarán Doherty, at Quinn Radiators. "Swisslog's very professional approach enabled them to present us with a solution that catered for all our storage, picking, warehouse management software, empty pallet handling and dispatch needs."
