Jobs Jim, but not as we know them... January 18th 2010 A Government commissioned report on career evolution over the next 20 years has predicted weird jobs such as ‘vertical farmer’ (vertical farm pictured) and ‘body part maker’.
Shape of Jobs to Come predicts advances in science and technology and the onset of climate change will radically shake up the job market.
The report declined to mention jobs in the warehouse so perhaps that means they are safe. However should jobs evaporate in a future all-automated supply chain, the report also suggests ‘virtual clutter organiser’ and ‘memory augmentation surgeon’ (could be handy after a heavy night out!).
