Suits intensive retail distribution
December 1st 2005

In a consumer-led society, which expects to be able to access goods virtually 24/7, the retail distribution process is an intensive one, particularly as the end of the year approaches.

With a dramatic increase in deliveries to retail outlets to meet seasonal demand, an efficient and accurate storage and distribution system is absolutely vital.

Mobile handling equipment plays an important role in the retail warehouse-to-store process and Linde has developed new products that address issues in this area.

The AC powered T 20 SP pallet truck with a fixed stand-on operator's compartment is a valuable new addition to the loading/unloading and internal pallet transfer activities in intensive retail warehouse applications.

The operating controls are positioned to provide a 45° driving posture on the cushioned stand-on platform so the operator can travel in either direction in comfort without having to twist the neck or torso. The result is faster, safer work cycles with no heavy physical demands placed on the operator who is able to maintain high efficiency without fatigue.

A high torque maintenance-free AC drive motor and Linde digital control provide smooth, rapid acceleration and performance when negotiating gradients.
