Southern Italy service enhanced

Dedicated provider of express palletised freight distribution, Palletways, has unveiled a new hub in Naples to enhance its service in Southern Italy.

And already it has broken the record for the most successful first night of a Palletways operation in Europe and the UK.

Palletways launched a pallet network in Italy in 2002 and it currently comprises 50+ independent transport member companies who use each others' resources to deliver goods via a central hub in Bologna.

Having collected earlier in the day from local customers, Palletways Italia members trunk their goods to the central hub where they are processed and sorted into designated delivery areas using leading edge technology.

Members' vehicles then return to their local depot with the goods they have been assigned to deliver on behalf of the network and from here they are despatched to their final delivery points. Barcode technology and a consignment track and trace facility monitor the goods throughout the process.

Palletways Italia offers a range of express distribution services for small consignments of palletised freight across the country, including next day, timed delivery options, and Economy 2 to 3 days.
