Mach 2008
February 1st 2008

The UK's premier manufacturing technologies event now

incorporates materials handling and storage

MACH 2008 runs at the NEC in Birmingham from the 21st-25th April and is the UK's largest remaining tradeshow dedicated to the machine tool and manufacturing technologies sector. Over 22,000 people walked through the doors of the last show to see the latest cutting edge and high-end technology on display from over 500 exhibitors. This year an increase in floor space available in the exhibition halls at the NEC has enabled the MACH team to incorporate a number of companies from related industries, including several involved in materials handling and storage.

In addition many of the traditional exhibitors at the show will also feature such products.

Graham Shearsmith, exhibition manager at the Manufacturing Technologies Association, which owns and organises MACH commented: "Materials handling and storage plays a vital role in manufacturing technologies companies. Research shows that 97% of visitors to MACH have materials and storage requirements and nearly 4000 of overall visitors to the last MACH show in 2006 indicated a direct interest in these products. In addition to materials handling, the show is also welcoming a select group of cleaning and health and safety related exhibitors."

MACH exhibitors involved in materials and storage include:

Lancopak – provides a wide range of quality packaging machinery, materials and accessories.

Automated packaging systems – helps customers achieve their packaging goals by providing a Total Systems Approach to bag packaging.

Bott – a company with a sector-leading reputation in the supply of storage solutions throughout Europe.

Scaglia Indeva – Scaglia Indeva has been designing and manufacturing industrial manipulators since 1970 and today it's a world leader in supplying materials handling solutions.

Lighthouse UK – supplies instruction labels, equipment ID and rating plates, electrical marking, safety signs and specialist labels.

Lighthouse label and sign systems are used extensively by machine assemblers, manufacturing and processing companies throughout the UK.

Kasto – leading European manufacturer of top quality Bandsaw and Circular saw machines and materials handling/storage systems for bar and sheet metal products Lista – manufactures drawer systems and other workspace equipment.

Metreel – one of the most significant suppliers of powerfeed and mechanical handling systems in the UK.

Pinder Versatool – produces a comprehensive series of quality products from sheet metal and stainless steel including storage systems.

The above exhibitors will be joined by numerous other stands offering materials, storage and handling solutions, including several companies involved in robotics, automation and associated software. For the latest list of exhibitors and news from the show visit the MACH 2008 website at www.mach2008.com .

In addition, there will be some 450 exhibitors at the MACH show filling halls 4 and 5 with the latest manufacturing technologies products. The exhibition is fast becoming the only destination to find out what's new in the industry and, at nearly 100 years old it's one of the most established manufacturing sector events in the UK.
