Cool lifters used to build ice houses August 1st 2006 Two battery-operated Combat Vacuum lifters from AL-Vac have recently been used to build ice houses to promote German bank ING at exhibitions.
The units were used to lift the huge ice 'bricks' into position – a delicate task with a material that is both fragile and very heavy.
The Combat has a maximum lifting capacity of 500kg and is easily manoeuvred when suspended from the bucket linkage of a digger or excavator.
An extension tube and hinged handle on the Combat mean operators can keep a straight back when positioning loads, while remaining at a safe distance from the item being lifted. More articles from Al-Vac UK Ltd: |
