Jumbo ATEX pallet truck
December 1st 2007

Sichelschmidt has built a supersized pedestrian pallet truck for a major logistics supplier to the chemical industry, designed to move large capacity containers of automotive paints, which weigh in at 3,700kg.

Featuring wider and longer forks, it is built to ATEX directives for operation in Gas-Ex- Zone 1. It uses frequency controlled ASM three phase motor technology for the drive and lifting mechanisms which also improves the performance of the trucks while reducing energy consumption.

At a load centre of 1050mm, capacity is 4t, and a nominal capacity of 7t can be achieved.

For stacking, lift height of 370mm is achieved by means of a lifting frame.
