Ceiling-mounted vacuum lifting unit June 1st 2007 AL-Vac has developed a
ceiling-mounted vacuum
lifting unit with flexible
movement to enable it to
operate safely over extensive
work areas.
The AL-Vac Rail-Mounted
System consists of two
longitudinal rails that run the
length of the work area. The
rails are attached either to
overhead beams or mounted
on pillars, spanned by a cross
rail. All the steel profile rails
are open on the underside
and contain a number of
wheeled rollers, similar to
heavy-duty curtain slides.
The vacuum tube, ending in
the vacuum head and control
handle, is suspended from
the cross rail to ensure that
the system can move
sideways as well as
backwards and forwards.
This gives it coverage across
the entire work area served
by the rails.
The vacuum pump for the
Rail-Mounted System is
placed outside the perimeter
of the rails themselves, and
the feeding vacuum hose is
suspended from one of the
longitudinal rails and the
cross rail.
The hose is formed in a
spiral, which neatly
telescopes in and out as the
system is used. More articles from Al-Vac UK Ltd: |
