Safely pushing ahead with space savings
October 1st 2007

A Nu-Star Super Pusher joins two Power Pushers already in use at the Dungannon site of Powerscreen International.

John McGrane, lean manufacturing promotion officer, explains "During the manufacturing process, 6500kg screen box assemblies were made and brought to final assembly using overhead gantry cranes. By assembling the screen boxes on carrier bogies, overhead cranes were eliminated, and by using a Nu-Star Super Pusher to move the carrier bogies around the manufacturing area, it has been possible to consolidate screen box production." The Super Pusher is easily manoeuvred and requires much less aisle way and turning circle space than fork lifts or full sized ride-on tugs.
