Lifting without touching
June 1st 2008 Airflow Systems is delivering
Airflow SR1P machines to an
important wholesale and
retail supplier of meat and
poultry in Russia. The Airflow
SR1P allows the operator to
remove freezer spacers and
change the pallet, from wood
to plastic or vice versa,
without lifting the pallet or
touching a box of product
within 90 seconds. None of
the machines in the Airflow
range require a ramp at the
front as they lower
everything flat to the floor.
The machines can also be
loaded with a hand pallet
truck and are made of heavy
duty steel.
The range begins with the
basic "Pallex" machine which
allows pallets to be changed
without lifting the pallet or
boxes in under 60 seconds.
Airflow also manufactures
machines that allow pallets
to be split into 2/3 sections
and/or the timber pallet
lowered to the floor for
changing;
machines for
inserting and
removing freezer
spacers (SR2) and
changing pallets;
and machines for
completely
inverting the
product. The latest
inverter is the 'Backsaver
Genie' which allows the
operator to remove boxes
from tall pallets, and boxes
from lower layers at waist
height, complying with the
current legislation on
