Taking goods to the next level

movemanSKG says its Titan goods lift handles big loads despite its small footprint

MovemanSKG's Titan goods lift moves heavy goods between levels in warehouses, retail outlets and other industrial environments, reducing manual handling requirements and the associated risk of employees sustaining strain injuries.

Titan lifts loads of 1000kg up to nine metres. A freestanding unit, it requires a pit of just 70mm, and no wall or supporting structure. This minimises building work and makes Titan quick to install (within five days).

It also means the lift suits applications with limited space, and listed buildings where conservation laws restrict digging and other physical alterations.

A reinforced, heavy duty, steel enclosure ensures safety and load integrity within the shaft. All motor gear is integrated within the unit and does not require a separate area or machine room.

There are various landing door options, including powered, single or open through entry, and fire resistant. All doors incorporate a vision panel, latch in the open position to simplify loading and unloading, and automatically lock when the lift is in motion for safety. Titan comes with a twelve-month warranty and two inclusive service visits in the first year of ownership. Like all movemanSKG's lifts, it complies with all building regulations.

movemanSKG recently installed Titan at Guidance Navigation's production facility in Leicester. Guidance Navigation manufactures high-performance navigation systems for the offshore oil and gas industry. Its latest product, RadaScan, aids the automatic positioning of vessels in marine applications, such as docking control. It measures over a metre in diameter and weighs 120kg. Guidance Navigation uses Titan to transport RadaScan units from its ground floor workshop to a mezzanine floor for testing.

Guidance Navigation's two-stop Titan travels nearly three metres and features a spacious platform, which accommodates RadaScan plus an attendant. Bi-parting doors allow easy access, and push-button controls facilitate swift, user-friendly operation.

Keith Philips, business development manager at Guidance Navigation, is delighted; "Regular use subjects our new goods lift to a heavy workload, yet it performs reliably. It utilises space efficiently, and its durability makes it ideal for a workshop environment.

movemanSKG completed the installation to a tight timeframe, enabling us to get our testing facility operational quickly."
