Microcontrollers moved by Microlift
October 1st 2008

A Stannah Microlift is helping the employees of Quantum Research Group transport its valuable high-tech components.

Quantum, based in Southampton, is a leading supplier of capacitive touch controls. Its touchpad navigation technologies are sold to a large number of blue chip customers and support a wide range of markets and applications.

The ground floor of Quantum's premises is dedicated to the heavy machinery required for the production of Quantum's touch sensitive micro chips.

The Stannah Microlift transports packaged micro controllers weighing 1-2kg each from the ground floor to the stores on the first floor.

It provides an efficient solution to the manual handing of small loads and improves health and safety issues relating to manual lifting of items.
