Timber handled with bundles of safety
January 1st 2010

A new ROBUR 4-way stacker from Stanley Handling has been supplied to Stewart Milne Timber Systems for its £10m automated production facility in Oxfordshire. The company provides timber system solutions to the house building and construction sectors.

The bundled timber used in the plant is unloaded and handled outdoors by heavy duty 4-way trucks but the company required a more compact unit for movements within the plant. The ROBUR SBP/ 4V pedestrian 4-way stacker enables safe, swift and efficient transporting of timber between storage, sawing and manufacturing areas.

The 3000kg electric truck was specified to provide increased flexibility in cantilever racking and has a 1920mm lowered mast height with a maximum lift height of 3500mm.
