Raising the resin standard
December 1st 2007 Offering customers a
bright, attractive and clean
environment, Alfa self
storage specified a
Ryebrook resin floor for its
new Walton-on-Thames
unit. Re-enforcing the Alfa
brand image, Ryebrook
colour co-ordinated the
resin floor with the green of
its logo.
All corridors and
individual storage areas
have been laid with Ryetech
hi-build epoxy resin, this
will remain looking
presentable long into the
future. The first coat of
Ryetech was applied to the
entire 1,500m2 area before
any dividing walls were
installed. Ryebrook
prepared the existing
concrete base using a
diamond grinder to remove
adhesive and additional
debris. Localised damage
was then improved using
an epoxy resin mortar
before applying the hi-build
resin coating. Once the
internal structure was
completed, Ryebrook
returned to apply a second
coat to the corridors.
