Warehouse automation October 1st 2007 Elettric 80 is to supply
Carlsberg with a laser
guided vehicle (LGV) storage
and retrieval system to
automate materials handling
at the company's Falkenberg
site in Sweden.
The system will increase
operational efficiencies at
the plant by automating the
movement of palletised
products from the
production line and
receiving docks. Depending
on order requirements, it
will manage the storage of
pallets at the facility and
ensure the transportation of
product directly to the
shipping docks.
Elettric 80 will supply 22
dual pallet handling LGVs to
complement two single LGVs
already in use at the
warehouse.
In conjunction with the
LGV technology, Carlsberg is
investing in racking
solutions to enable it to
maximise storage space for
products that cannot be
stacked. More articles from Elettric 80 AB: |
