Round the clock maintenance
October 1st 2005

The Aftermarket Operation of Morris Material Handling has strengthened its association with RWE npower - one of the UK’s largest energy generators and suppliers. Having held the repair and maintenance contract for RWE npower’s on-site cranes at its Tilbury Power Station for four years, the company has secured a rolling contract for two Kone CSUs (continuous ship unloaders) on the same site.

To provide round the clock repair and maintenance cover of mechanical and electrical componentry, Morris has deployed a team of two engineers permanently on-site.

The two Kones are used to offload some 2.5m tonnes of coal annually that is used to power the 1050MW coal fired power station.

In addition to the two permanent on-site engineers, Morris Material Handling Round the clock maintenance supports this latest repair and maintenance partnering agreement from its regional service centre in Rochester.
