Power Pusher walks the torque February 1st 2005 Hanson Building Products, Britain’s second largest clay brick manufacturer, is using a Nu-Star Power Pusher to push 12,000Kg brick kiln cars at its Halifax plant.
The extra high torque model is the result of several months development, according to Nu-Star technical director, Steve Mather. “Generally we have found an increase in the size and weight of the loads we are being asked to move,” he says. “After several months development with our suppliers we have increased Power Pusher’s available torque by about 20% to ensure we keep up with customer requirements.” At 1.4m long and 670mm wide the multipurpose tractor unit has a wide range of attachments for numerous industrial applications. Pedestrian operated, with sealed gel batteries and onboard charging system, running costs are minimal. More articles from Nu-Star Material Handling Ltd: |
