Metreel’s Pro-Ductor deal

According to Metreel, frozen food distributor Celcius First chose its Pro-Ductor system as the power supply for its six aisle cranes at its main cold store distribution warehouse in Grimsby.

The 6.6million ft3 warehouse is used for frozen food distribution to the UK's retail chain. Each crane covers 91 bays that are 14 shelves high. The total capacity of the facility is over 30,000 pallets. Celcius First wanted to ensure aisle stackers were running all the time. Given the freezing environment, the chosen system had to offer more than standard products.

Pro-Ductor is a flat copper conductor system for automated warehouses. Its continuous coppers help reduce wear on collector brushes. Finger safe housing caters for 7 conductors from 50 amps to over 200 amps, it is suitable for travel speeds in Metreel’s Pro-Ductor deal excess of 250m per minute.

Self correcting collector trolleys are particularly suited for the transmission of data and control signals.
