Integrated sensor systems April 1st 2006 FANUC Robotics will demonstrate its new range of integrated sensor systems at this years' MACH exhibition.
Developed by FANUC for use on its Intelligent Robot range, the sensors have further reduced risk by taking system integration into the world of plug-and-play.
Visitors will have the opportunity to randomly load components into a gear assembly system which utilises force sensing and a 3D vision system. A FANUC Robotics M16iB Intelligent Robot fitted with a V-500iA/3DL laser vision sensor locates the gears and picks them up.
The robot then assembles the gear by feeling the fit, with a FANUC FS-30 force sensor fitted to its wrist. The parts are assemblies to H7 tolerances which demonstrates the accuracy and repeatability of FANUC's advanced process software and algorithms.
The demonstration illustrates the savings that can be made on reduced tooling requirements for applications including machine loading, depalletising and assembly. More articles from Fanuc Robotics (UK) Ltd: |
