Reliable handling fleet
December 1st 2005

Barloworld Handling has supplied a new fleet of Hyster K Series high level order pickers to complement the existing materials handling fleet at Festive Productions, at Cwmbran in Wales. Festive Productions designs and distributes branded Christmas decorations to customers throughout the UK.

In 2000 the company outsourced its warehousing and logistics to Rhys Davies Freight Logistics, which also took on the ageing materials handling fleet. This was supplemented initially with short-term hire trucks from Barloworld Handling.

To be able to cope with the size of operation, especially during peak periods, the lift truck fleet has to be reliable keeping downtime to a minimum.

The fleet consists of two P1.8 powered pallet trucks for unloading containers, four J1.60XMT electric counterbalance trucks for put-away, and five LO2.0L low-level order pickers as well as the four new K1.0M high-level order pickers.
