End of the road for unstable pallet loads
August 1st 2007

Leuze Mayser's Konturflex Measuring Light Curtain and IPRK photoelectric sensors were instrumental in the development of Andrews Automation's new Pallet Profile Checker.

Andrews wanted a design capable of simultaneously scanning all four sides of pallets looking for uneven loading, stack tilt etc., with the inbuilt precision to detect any plastic wrap overhand – to ensure receiving parties can have no complaint regarding stack neatness and stability, and that all loads will fit into their racking.

Having worked with Leuze Mayser previously, its Konturflex Measuring Light Curtain was integrated into the profile checker for monitoring front and back of the pallet while clear object sensors from the IPRK range scan the left and right side.

The resulting versatility means the kit can be programmed to handle bespoke pallet sizes and can easily adjust to diverse application solutions.
