Specialising in the supply and fit of tyres and wheels for the materials handling industry, Watts Tyre Services has recently developed its business.

It has revolutionised the way it handles customers’ requirements with the implementation of a new web based system, which now handles every interaction between Watts and its customers.

Over last 12 months the company is also reported to have significantly increased service level standards. Its national network of 25 depots retains local autonomy and contact with customers, as well as being fully supported by a central services team.

The company is also working hard to maintain its huge product range through improved access to inventory of both Watts product and from third party suppliers.

Watts now has 99% stock availability on its range.

Most of the company’s tyre fitting is carried out at customer’s premises, requiring visits to be scheduled at a convenient time to minimise downtime.

These are reliably scheduled through a new IT system.

One of the company’s most successful services is ‘Fleet Check’, where fleet experts perform periodic inspections of a customers’ entire fleet and then provide a written report on tyre wear and recommend when a replacement or re-cut of the tyre is necessary.
