TDG places 1200 machines in safe hands
June 1st 2007

Linde is managing supply chain management firm TDG's entire materials handling fleet. The deal involves Linde initially purchasing TDG's 1200 machines – a variety of makes and models working in a range of applications – and leasing them back to TDG.

Fleet management has enabled TDG to operate a flexible contract, in some cases reducing fleet sizes through utilisation and in others transferring trucks as demand for the fleet evolves, ensuring optimum availability. Linde will supply its own and other manufacturers equipment.

Incorporated into the contract is a maintenance agreement which is based on agreed utilisation of the equipment. A dedicated service response line for TDG is in place at Linde's Basingstoke HQ.
