Information on attachments available on-line

Forklift attachments and masts supplier, B&B Attachments, has enabled customers and dealers to access information to determine individual attachment parts by putting the information on its website www.bandbattachments.com. The move will help customers access individual part numbers quickly and easily, enabling B&B Attachments Parts Department to action the request speedily and efficiently, resulting in minimal downtime.

Separate manuals, with individual serial numbers, are issued for every attachment and mast. As build varies from unit to unit, there are no type manuals and therefore B&B has to provide individual manuals for each new clamp or mast. Sometimes these are given to the end user and on other occasions to the dealer looking after the attachment. Problems can arise when trying to identify a part number quickly because the clamp or mast is down and then having the frustration of locating the manual, which may have been lost.

Now, each dealer or end user can gain access to the manuals and individual parts numbers of specific clamps and masts by logging onto B&Bs website through a secure logon. They will be able to download the manual in a pdf format, enabling them to either print locally or view the details online. As many service engineers have laptops with Internet access, this will enable them to access the information immediately as and when they need it.
