Fleet maintenance and performance monitoring December 1st 2004 When Linde Sterling was awarded a contract to supply wood products manufacturer, Kronospan, with 19 replacement forklifts, it was also agreed that Linde would take over responsibility for maintaining and monitoring the performance of the entire 37 strong fleet.
The fleet management service offered by Linde Sterling to Kronospan includes a dedicated engineer, ensuring that service response times are highly efficient and, together with workshop facilities at Kronospan, allowing the trucks to be serviced on site to maximise uptime.
The Kronospan plant works on a 24/7 shift pattern and, on average, the Linde trucks are operating for 22 hours a day. Around 125 lorry loads of MDF and chipboard are delivered from the site, along with 35 loads of laminated flooring, so optimum uptime and reliability are essential.
