Multifunctional range
April 1st 2008

Still has extended its product range for combined indoor and outdoor operation of intralogistics – strategies to optimise the flow of material.

The new FM-SE 14, 16 and 20 reach trucks with combined tyres (Superelastic (SE)/solid rubber) are "genuine multifunctional machines" says the company.

They cover a wide range of applications and have load capacities of 1400, 1600 or 2000kg.

Agility is optimised by a small turning radius combined with compact design. The FM-SE 14 and 16 have a 1683mm turning radius, and the FM-SE 20 radius is 1833mm, allowing use of racks in 2.8m aisles.

Ergonomic design is centred around comfort. The cabin has an anti-slip step and a height adjustable seat.

The lumbar support and steering wheel are also adjustable. Four fingertip levers allow easy operation of the hydraulics and the steering is electric.

The FM-SE trucks all have a newly designed reinforced chassis to give higher floor clearance of bumpy warehouse surfaces. The mast is 90mm above ground when loaded. Superelastic tyres are mounted on 10inch rims for the two load wheels, and the drive wheel tyre is 12 1/8inch profiled solid rubber. The solid rubber tyres provide best floor contact on wet or bumpy surfaces.

Superelastic and solid rubber tyres reduce driver body vibration, and shock absorbers between the drive and the chassis improve driver comfort.

Fully capsulated maintenance-free AC motors ensure reliability.
