Giraffe makes automation fast and easy December 1st 2007 End of line automation
specialist Elettric 80 will
show its latest end of line
LGV Storage & Retrieval
Systems at this year's
BRAU show.
With reach of 9m and a
maximum pallet weight
of 1,200kgs, Elettric 80
claims its Giraffe LGV
makes light work of
automated storage and
handling work – making
it safer, more flexible and
cost effective.
The Giraffe can be
programmed to
manoeuvre in a 3m wide
corridor and replace
manual forklifts without
the need to
change
the
racking.
Elettric
80 says
it enhances
existing solutions,
such as multi pallet
handling LGVs for
block stacking,
which are being
used by some of
the biggest brands
in the beverage
sector, including
Carlsberg, Foster's,
Damm and Miller.
Elettric 80 says
all its LGV Storage
& Retrieval
Systems are
quickly installed
with minimal
disruption, often
while production
is still running.
The
firm has
its own
WMS which
works alongside and
integrates with any
existing WMS/ERP
system, so that the
existing WMS requires
minimal change to
handle the automation
process. More articles from Elettric 80 AB: |
