Up, up and way more storage
April 1st 2007 VNA racking, high density picking bins and specially adapted man-rising order pickers from Atlet mean Country Balloons can maximise storage capacity while retaining flexibility at its London distribution warehouse. Atlet supplied two of its OPS man-rising order pickers with special frames to hold eight cartons and allow up to four different orders to be picked at a time with each truck. With the OPS the operator rises with the cab and forks to the optimum picking position, and has clear access to the picking face at either side – meaning two picking bins can be reached on each side without moving the truck. Items can then be transferred to the cartons on the frame in one easy movement.
