April 1st 2008 Wollschläger, a German
supplier of precision tools,
welding equipment and
occupational safety and
plant equipment, opted for
TSP 6000 Series turret order
pickers from Crown when it
increased capacity at its
Bochum warehouse.
The rail of the cab front
tapers inwards at one
corner, creating space which
allows the operator to exit
the cab in the narrow aisles
to pick unhindered.
Staff do not have to
switch from one truck to
another, as Jörg Fiedrich,
manager of the Wollschläger
logistics centre, explains:
"This type of truck not only
allows us to perform
numerous tasks in the
goods warehouse, it means
tasks such as pallet
placement and retrieval, as
well as order picking, can be
done with one model of
truck from the bottom level
to the uppermost one. It
works to a height of 11m."
