Cummins & GM powering Doosan
April 1st 2007

Doosan is launching a completely new range of models powered by GM and Cummins engines.

Launching under the Doosan brand, the move comes after a review of engine performances and requirements after the company announced it would cease production of trucks powered by Mitsubishi engines.

New UK general manager, Tim Waples, says the decision is based on Doosan's mission to provide the lowest possible cost of ownership. "We already supply a wide range of models with proven GM and Cummins engines and our reputation as a manufacturer of forklifts offering simple, powerful performance has grown as a result," he says.

Last year the company broke the 1,000 unit sales barrier in the UK, has a new 55,000 truck capacity plant coming on stream with two years and has increased R&D spending by 70%
