Cesab celebrates move to new premises February 1st 2007 The UK arm of Italian lift truck experts, Cesab, recently celebrated its move to new premises in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire with an open day. Strategically located at the heart of the UK transport network, the new offices enable Cesab to boost support to its dealer network which currently consists of 22 dealers covering 70% of the UK. The move follows steady growth since the company entered the UK market in 1990. Portraying a professional and efficient image, the new offices are indicative of the company philosophy promoted from the Italian head quarters. With over fifty years experience in manufacturing counterbalanced lift trucks, Cesab is the Italian centre of excellence within the Toyota Material Handling Group, with plant and head quarters in Bologna As part of its continuous improvement process, Cesab recently opened a new Special Trucks Unit. This new area is dedicated to designing and assembling special trucks tailored around specific customer needs. this type of investment is typical of the company's constant research into new technology. The Special Trucks Unit employs a highly skilled team to evaluating customers' specific requirements – designing, building prototypes, and assembling trucks with the required characteristics. This constant attention to customer needs has also enhanced Cesab's production quality standards. The full range includes electric driven trucks from 800 to 8500kg. The range from 1000kg to 5000kg is fully AC controlled. The IC range includes trucks with capacities of 1500 to 8000kg with hydrostatic transmission. Over the past couple of years, the range has been increased to include a number of different IC and Electric models. The IC range of trucks between 2500 and 3500kg now offers machines with hydrostatic transmission, which can be either hydraulically or electronically controlled for superior performance, handling and ease of use.The electric range has seen the inclusion of a four wheel compact truck with AC technology from 1600 to 3000kg sporting larger batteries and higher seating allowing better visibility specifically useful in bottling applications or where double pallets are handled. In 2005 Cesab launched a new 24v AC three-wheel truck range, with capacities of 1000 to 1500kg. With it's optimal combination of high performance and compact size, this model is the ideal solution for working in confined spaces like raised platforms, goods lifts and containers. |
