One smart card system fits all

Davis Derby has launched a new single Smart Card System which integrates customer’s existing Smart Card applications including cashless vending, time/attendance recording and building access control.

The company’s TRUCKLOG fork lift truck (FLT) driver operating system has been installed on 92 FLTs at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK’s Burnaston plant. It uses proven RF communication technology to transmit and log data between a multifunction Smart Card and reader device for all businesses using FLTs.

This means that access control and fleet management can be achieved at a lower additional cost for users of Smart Card systems, according to the company.

The new system’s compatibility with Toyota’s existing Smart Card system has eliminated the need for more than one card and reduces card costs.
