Avery Weigh-Tronix has launched an onboard forklift truck scale that can lift, weigh, move and record palletised loads in one operation. The new system provides a simple means of verifying goods inwards by weight and minimises the potential for ‘give away’ product leaving the premises.

In effect, the system transforms forklifts into mobile scales, delivering approved weight verification of each pallet as it is picked up. This means it is possible to accurately manage stock very time it is moved.

The system can also guide the driver through the loading process to maximise capacity for both outwardbound trailers and warehouse storage.

Designed for harsh conditions, Avery weigh- Tronix claims the scale is the most durable system available. The patented Weigh Bar weight sensors and out-of-level compensation delivers accurate readings even when fork positions change, when wheels are on uneven surfaces or if the mast is tilted.

The heavy duty carriage comes in a range of widths to fit any ITA class II and Class III cleat type forklift and can be fitted with a choice of instrumentation to suit the application.
