Safety and reliability wins contract October 1st 2004 An 800m long float glass plant in Goole has been supplied with materials handling equipment from Impact Toyota. The package comprises ten new Toyota Generation 7 trucks as well as three Hubtex GTR330 E trucks, which can each lift up to 28t of glass at a time.
Impact also teamed up with BMiB batteries to install an iBOS system – a fully digital battery management system that manages the selection of replacement batteries in the charging bay to ensure they are rotated to achieve maximum life.
The company’s ability to provide safe, reliable equipment as well as comprehensive service and operational support was fundamental to the contract win.
The fleet includes six Toyota 7FBMF 45s which are all used inside the plant and a Toyota 7FD 45 diesel lift truck for outside use. More articles from Impact Handling: |
