Flexibility without unnecessary cost October 1st 2006 Jofson Mitsubishi says that famously dependable machines and a unique approach to customer service were the qualities that helped it to secure a contract to supply Jiffy Packaging.
The rare contract hire deal has seen Jofson deliver seven 'and a half' trucks to its Cheshire Distribution Centre.
The 'half', explains warehouse manager Dave Alexander, is an example of Jofson's flexible thinking.
"We operate a 24/7 system, so need arrangements to cope with sudden peaks in demand or technical problems at any time. Jofson helped to suggest having an additional older truck which we use on a 'pay-as-you-go' basis giving us the best of both worlds – flexibility to handle the unexpected without unnecessary cost the rest of the time."
