Stiller enhances DC June 1st 2005 Palletised storage, distribution and logistics specialist, the Stiller Group, has invested £400,000 in materials handling equipment to enhance productivity at its newly extended 340,000ft2 warehouse and distribution facility in South Yorkshire. The Group has purchased 17 new forklift trucks and other equipment, including new BT Rolatruc RRE3 reach trucks and P24 pallet trucks, from the SEV Group’s Materials Handling Division, based in Sheffield.
“The brief was to to match the 24/7 working schedule of the facility,” explains SEV’s Jimmy Quinn.”The facility has space for up to 35,000 pallets with up to seven pallet high racking configuration. We therefore advised the supply of the P24 trucks with double battery operation, enabling the trucks to work continuously. They are also fitted with the latest Davis Derby Impact Protection Systems.” |
