Rushlift now sole distributor
February 1st 2008 Rushlift has become the sole
UK distributor for Svetruck,
following its acquisition of
Newport-based Sleabond.
The deal will see Sleabond
become part of the Rushlift
network which already
includes depots in Bishop
Auckland, Dewsbury,
Hinckley and Slough. The
acquisition is expected to
strengthen its presence in
the North East, Wales and
the South West where
Sleabond specialises in the
hire of heavy forklifts, mainly
in steel handling, docks and
timber yards. Part of the
Specialist Hire Group,150
mobile engineers cover
Aberdeen to Cornwall;
Teeside to South Wales.
Former Linde and Lex
Harvey director, Dennis
Shaw, has also joined the
group as western regional
operations director. A wellknown
face in the industry,
Dennis will oversee the
launch of Rushlift Heavy and
the integration of Svetruck
