Palway launches Chainway and Colt

Palway has launched two products that increase the efficient and safe operation of forklift trucks.

The Chainway system incorporates loadcells into the lift chain anchor bolts, providing a simple and cost effective way of monitoring loads lifted, according to the company.

Accuracy is typically better than 1% and the company says it offers a low cost solution where appropriate – “acceptable levels of performance at around half the cost of weighing forks,” according to sales manager, John Thorp.

Palway says its new Colt mobile hand pallet truck scales utilise specially engineered forks, incorporating two one tonne capacity loadcells each.

These, it says, provide a robust platform with a very slight increase in weight and lost load centre – therefore having minimal impact on truck capacity. Palway says the Colt provides both accuracy – to better than 1kg per tonne – combined with visibility.
