Mitsubishi’s cabin comforts
February 1st 2005

Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has added the option of a deluxe tiltable cabin to its new N series of 1.5 to 3.5 tonne IC engine and counterbalance trucks – which, it says, will reduce fatigue and increase operator efficiency.

Supported by four rubber shock mounts on the chassis, the deluxe cabin reduces noise and vibration inside the driver compartment to l75dB(A). For maximum practicality, the whole cab can be tilted backwards hydraulically over the counterweight in only 40 seconds to give full access to the engine compartment.

Mitsubishi’s aim was to create an operator environment closer to the cab of a long distance lorry than that of a forklift truck.

Aiming to achieve this it has: a fully lined interior; windows that give an unobstructed view through the front, back, sides and roof; both front and rear screens have wash/wipe controls; two way sliding windows and an opening roof, plus heating system allow good ventilation, warming of the foot area and screen demisting. Other driver aids include rear view mirrors, a tool storage box, coat hook, cup holder, reading light and audio system preparation.

In addition to the tilting cab, Mitsubishi also offers a complete range to suit all requirements.
