It's goodbye to Daewoo December 1st 2006 Korean forklift manufacturer, Doosan Infracore, has announced it will drop the Daewoo name from all forklifts and construction equipment from January 2007.
Currently badged "Doosan Daewoo" the company's latest machines and new product range will be branded Doosan and will adopt the orange colour styling currently seen on the company's earth movers, skid steer loaders and other construction equipment.
The move marks the end of the Daewoo name on vehicles of any type, leaving the Daewoo electronics business the as sole user of the Daewoo name in the UK.
Since establishing in the UK in 1994, the Doosan/Daewoo business has gone through several changes, but the firm's commitment to building a strong dealer base has been constant, with 24 regional dealers now in place and a strategic national distribution deal with Rushlift.
Over 80 Doosan models are available in the UK from 1.3 to 5.0t electric models and 1.5 to 16t IC models. |
