Huge savings enabled
December 1st 2005

Aerosol valve producer, Lindal Valve Co is saving over £30,000 per year on leasing costs alone thanks to articulating electric Bendi Forklifts from Translift.

Previously the company had operated two warehouses, but when rationalisation meant one site was no longer needed, more pallets had to be stored in the remaining facility.

Having reduced the aisle widths from 3m to 2.1m wide, Lindal decided to use articulated forklifts. Translift was chosen to supply its Bendi trucks due to price, servicing package and driver preference.

During the move, Translift supplied an older truck on a short-term hire basis until two new units were supplied on a five year rental contract with full maintenance.

Training was also provided for three drivers by Translift over two days.

In addition to gaining 240 extra pallet locations, using the Bendi forklifts means that Lindal benefits from the elimination of double handling, as well as various safety advantages.
