A big difference in narrow aisles
April 1st 2006

In order to maximise storage space and get the most value for money, warehouse aisles are becoming ever narrower.

And when space is at a premium, one truck stands head and shoulders above the rest

The new TSP 6000 Series from Crown sets new standards in flexibility and operator comfort and is specifically designed for very narrow aisle applications.

Introduced early this year in Europe, the TSP 6000 Series has a three-point design, giving it a tighter turning radius and even greater manoeuvrability than both its predecessor and its competitors.

And alongside this flexibility it can perform a multitude of tasks throughout the warehouse including picking, transporting and staging. Combine that kind of productivity with Crown's commitment to durability and you have a truly special new generation of turret order pickers.

Working together

Everything about the TSP 6000 Series has been designed to help warehouse managers maximise space utilisation and materialshandling productivity.

An innovative, hard-working truck and an efficient operator, both working in harmony, is the key to increased productivity. Crown has studied the techniques of high performing operators and developed a lift truck full of new and improved features that complement and simplify best practice.

Multi-task controls save valuable positioning time. The main mast can raise and lower while the auxiliary mast raises, lowers, pivots or traverses all while the truck is travelling. The "Auto-Pivot" function synchronises the traverse and pivot movements automatically to keep the pallet evenly centred between warehouse racks, enhancing productivity and reducing rack damage.

The TSP 6000 Series features Crown's proven Access 1 2 3TM Comprehensive System Control, keeping all truck systems - from hydraulics to traction to steering - in constant communication. The truck's powerful AC lift and traction motors provide smooth and precise acceleration.

All the trucks in the range excel at full pallet handling at heights due to their solid foundation, unmatched stability and ease of control.

Picking operations are improved thanks to the exceptional flexibility of the TSP 6000 Series, allowing the operator to pick and place at any elevation with full confidence - whether with partial or full pallet loads.

The compact three wheel design provides excellent manoeuvrability and a tight turning radius to help the operator easily position loads. And the carrying capacity and fast travel speeds of the TSP 6000 Series highlight its value as an all round warehouse truck.

Crown's exclusive Load Path Stability (LPS) design has already proven itself in numerous man-up applications. The load is evenly distributed from the platform through the mast to the frame and through the power unit to the ground. An integral part of this is the Crown closed-section mast, specifically created to minimise twisting and swaying. It is unique in the lift truck industry and offers unparalleled stability at heights.

Operator comfort

Crown pays unprecedented attention to ergonomics and operator comfort - appreciating that this is always reflected in improved productivity. The revolutionary platform of the TSP 6000 reflects Crown's high standards. Crown's MoveControlTM seat gives the operator a choice of seated and standing positions. With the ability to rotate through 110° it offers four positions to enhance visibility and operator orientation for specific tasks. Adjustable controls in the cushioned armrests allow free access to pallet and rack.

For operator safety, the compartment features sensors in the floor and hand controls that ensure the operator is in the proper position before the truck can operate.

Reliability

All Crown trucks are renowned for outstanding robustness and longevity.

Combined with simplicity of maintenance this means considerably more uptime than that of most competitors - again leading to a more efficient and productive warehouse operation.

A heavy-duty steel frame, steel covers on the power unit and the vertical steel uprights protecting the interior components and electronics demonstrate the tough, durable construction of the TSP 6000 Series.

Careful placement of system components shortens service times. All hydraulics are mounted on the truck's mainframe which contributes to component longevity and serviceability. Hydraulics are also separated from electrical systems, resulting in cooler and cleaner electronics. Top battery access allows for swift battery maintenance.

Maintenance is further simplified by the Access 1 2 3TM system and Crown's InfoPointTM troubleshooting system. This gives service engineers convenient access to critical information about the TSP 6000 Series, allowing them to troubleshoot without schematics, wiring diagrams or service manuals on most repairs.

And it all adds up to one of the finest narrow aisle trucks ever produced giving superb value for money and directly impacting on warehouse productivity.
